Academic and scholarly publisher World Scientific has launched the world's
first Climate Change Economics journal, led by the renowned Dr. Robert
Mendelsohn from Yale University as its Editor-in-Chief.
Dr. Mendelsohn said, "The Climate Change Economics journal will be the first
in this field to analyze the mitigation, adaptation and impact of issues related to
policy and management of greenhouse gases. This journal will address many of
the concerns of climate change and especially its economical implications and will
benefit policymakers and industry players alike."
Mr Robert Hahn, former Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise
Institute (AEI) for Public Policy Research and Executive Director of the
AEI-Brookings Joint Center for Regulatory Studies, said, "The economics of
climate is critical to our understanding of how best to address this difficult issue.
Professor Mendelsohn has been in the vanguard of developing useful insights in
this area for economists, regulators, and legislators."
Apart from its renowned Editor-in-Chief, the journal also boasts an influential
bench of editorial team members like Drs. Carlo Carraro (Fondazione Eni Enrico
Mattei (FEEM)), Larry Goulder (Stanford University), Charles Kolstad (University
of California - Santa Barbara), William Nordhaus (Yale University), Richard
Richels (Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), USA), Daigee Shaw (Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research), Thomas Scheilling (University of
Maryland), Robert Stavins (Harvard University), Richard Tol (Economic and
Social Research Institute, Dublin) and Martin Weitzman (Harvard University).
The first issue of the journal is scheduled to be published by April 2010. More
